CHAKAY: MASTER OF TWO WORLDS
Raul is a 12 year-old kid, tech-savvy and addicted to his cellphone; he lost his left arm so some of his classmates mock him and he feels people looks at him weird. He is a little insecure, however he’s always trying to show he is brave, getting himself involved in risky adventures and most of all in trouble.
One day he finds an ancient enchanted Inca tomb, his cellphone gets charged with its mystic energy and it sends him to an unknown dimension: Chakay, a place with no technology at all, filled with super-connected to nature anthropomorphic animals. Here, Raul will learn a bunch of new skills to deal with everyday life; in this world his deficiencies will turn into powerful weapons.
But Chakay has been invaded by Iliana, the Princes of Chaos, an a-temporal explorer that takes the vital resources of each dimension she encounters. Now, Raul must become a hero to save Chakay and stopping Iliana so his own dimension won’t become the next one to disappear.
This short two-minute videos show Raul’s journey through Latin America, showing all the cultural landmarks and part of its history. In each site Raul will meet a different historical character and they will help him learn about the place his visiting. This way, the audience will learn about history directly from its protagonists.
The videogame will allow the audience to be a part of Raul’s story in the Chakay universe. Plus, the idea is to merge the digital world with real life, so kids will be able to print paper toys and scan them to get additional content in the videogame.
